Festive Holiday Snowflakes

My Holiday mani did not come out as I planned this week, so here is an accent nail I did last year  on a co-worker's gold nails.

The image plate is Mash-47.  I used Orly Luxe to stamp and NK Swan as the white/cream base.

Gradient Stamp

I saw this on Boombastic Nails and loved it.  I already had the Barielle Hidden Hideaway purple.  I used a gold metallic in place of her green metallic. These shimmery colors sponge really well.

Black Lace

My mum requested a black lace mani for her Halloween party.  I used Konad m57 plate and Konad Special Polish in black to stamp over her gel manicure.

Konad Netting

My mom's request for a simple mani.  Konad image plate m57 stamped with Sally Hansen in Silver Sweep.  The Instra-Dri colors seem to stamp well.

Peachy Dots

I started out with a just polka dots with a contrast accent nail.  But I got tired of it right away.  I changed up each nail for more of a skittles mani.

White Base: China Glaze Dandelion and NK Swan.

Lavender Shimmer

I love the exotic patterns in my new Cheeky Plate C.  I also loved the pretty lavender sparkle shade of the new Konad purple polish.  Base is a mix of Essie Limo-scene and Nuance Moonflower.

Denim Nails

I saw this reverse gradient on the Globe & Nail blog.  I attempted it, but my striping tape was too thin. I liked how her stripes came out thicker. My sponging also is blotchy.   And it took a bit of patience and time.

Milano White as base,
Essie Mezmerized, China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle, and China Glaze Dandelion for sponging.

Peacock Gradient

A lot of peacocks around the neighborhood streets lately, so I had peacock colors on my mind.  Sponged a gradient with purple, blue, and green with a stamped gold Mash pattern. It chipped the first day, excuse the damage and half-assed repair on the middle finger. The Orly Luxe gold was too pale. I wanted a more vibrant gold.

Finger Paints Sketch N Etch (shimmer green)
Wet n Wild Saved by the Blue (shimmer royal blue)
Zoya Malia (Lavender)

Orly Luxe (shimmer gold) to stamp the image.

Wispy Lace

Love this Konad image design! It is so soft and delicate. Careful, it liked to smear a bit with top coat, even using the Konad Special Top Coat. And it is so thin and delicate, it sometimes didn't print the every little detail in the lace netting. But its worth the careful effort.

Pastel Abstract

I saw this on Pinterest from the The Nail Polish Project Blog and thought it was so creative and the color combo really cheerful.

So I tried to simulate it in a bit more simplified version. I only did two color blocks on some nails instead of three on all nails. It was time consuming with waiting for polish to dry before doing the next round of taping, and I was too impatient to do each nail with three color blocks.

Not as clean or cool as hers came out, but it was still very eye catching and received a lot of comments. Most people were amazed it wasn't a decal.  Different color combos for different seasons could be very cool.

Simple Thistle Konad

I love this color, Thistle, by China Glaze. It looks silver at first, but in different lights, its a shimmery lavender or cream color. Super pretty. I used Mash-27 image plate in Konad Special Polish black for a simple design.

Shooting Stars

I saw this nail art on Pinterest from the ThatSoFresh blog and thought it was pretty cool.

But after a day, it was way too busy for me, so I toned it down it a bit.

And after another day, it was still too busy, so I toned it down even more, and was much happier.
